Michael is a psychotherapist working in a contemporary approach
informed by perspectives such as self psychology, intersubjectivity,
affect theory, and neuroscience. This approach emphasises empathic
listening to clients’ feeling and thoughts to help build new
capacities for dealing with particular challenges (eg work and
relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma etc) and simply enjoying
life more.
Michael is a trained clinical supervisor and has been involved in
psychotherapy training for several years. He also has a breadth of
other work experience, particularly in areas of environmental and
social policy.
Michael is a clinical member of the Australian & New Zealand
Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP) and the Psychotherapy and
Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
